Customer Reviews
Our family has camped at this wonderful campground for many many years during the month of October. We started with the rv sites and as we have aged we have moved to the wonderful cabins. The memories are priceless! Our grandchildren love all the fun activities and the playground. The staff was great as always and Tina is a jewel! I don’t understand why there hasn’t been adequate updates/upkeep done to the cabins (electric plugs loose for 2 years now) The gas grill was a safety hazard to say the least. Our little people were very disappointed to see the bouncy pillow was damaged and in very disarray 😢. The store was scarcely stocked for several things. For the price it costs you would expect more. For the first time we were somewhat disappointed with a few things. Again the STAFF and TINA are rockstars! I hope to see improvements next time.
Great campground overall with a nice pool, convenience store, planned activities, and the staff is amazing! Some of the camp sites are not very good locations making it difficult to get in and out. I would recommend renting a site with a concrete patio and a personal pet area if you’re bringing pets. They do have a very nice fenced in area for dogs as well if you decide against renting a spot with one for your dog. I would definitely go back.
The experience at this KOA was not what we typically expect, prompting my initial inclination to rate it zero stars. However, if I were to evaluate it purely based on a non-KOA standard, two stars might feel more fitting. To start with the positives, the location was easy to find, and we checked in on Thanksgiving. Our information packet was conveniently taped to a board with my name, providing clear instructions for reaching our site. I noticed that there seemed to be plenty of things to do if we had arrived for peak season, which is promising. Unfortunately, our disappointment stemmed primarily from the site itself. We were assigned to site 4, for which we had paid a premium for a pull-through with a patio. Instead, we found ourselves at a narrow, paved site that made leveling our Class A motorhome a significant challenge, requiring us to lift a tire which is never reccommended. I suspect that while a trailer or fifth wheel might have fared better, it would still require some blocks for proper leveling. We eventually managed to get reasonably level, but we had to position ourselves closer to the back of the lot. This presented a problem since both the power pole and the sewer line were located much further toward the front. Additionally, it felt a bit odd that our neighbor was facing directly at us. We definitly did not have a patio. I should note that I opted not to complain or request a different site, so I cannot speak to whether the other options available might have been any better. Finally, I would advise anyone considering a stay here to be prepared for a steep, winding road when it comes time to leave, which is not entirely unexpected given the hilly terrain of the area. We initially intended to make another stop at this campground on our return trip. However, we've decided that we will not be returning in the future. I took the necessary steps to cancel our reservation and willingly paid the cancellation fee..
Ya no, won't be back. We travel with a 43' triple axel 5th wheel, which if anybody knows is very slow to turn. The site and surrounding sites we were on are all 90 degree turns, skinny, short and tight. Very unlevel sites, some with 30A......which is what we were put on even after booking online a Large pull thru 50/30/20A. Fail! We had to move after getting leveled out and realizing this. Seriously?!? There were only 3 other RVs in the park, not a difficult process. Very old looking and feeling park and not big rig friendly.
We stayed the night with kids and our dog. It was very nice site with a private dog pen on our site! We also had our own personal propane grill and concrete pad with patio furniture. There were a lot of activities for the kiddos! They had a movie night the night we spent there for our kids with fresh popcorn and sunny D! They have several other crafts/activities we were interested in but we had to return home. Areas that need improvement: 1) the jumping pad isn't working properly due to multiples holes 2)the water pressure was not good for site 60 causing our on demand water heater to not work properly 3) pool loungers are in need of repair/replacement. All and all a good trip with a caring staff! Just a few maintenance issues. My expectations are high considering I'm staying at a KOA.
