Residence Inn Nashville at Opryland

Great location to the Opry. Easy to get in and out of, close to food and eats. Short drive to a big mall. Only thing is the shower in the bathroom, the old soap holder at some point had come off the shower wall and had been relocated to a different spot in the shower. The old glue and such was still there but super easy to scrape off, I was able to peel it off if needed. Other than that nice clean room.

Do not stay here. It’s not a safe area to leave your vehicle overnight. My vehicle was broken into last night at 1030pm. Manager says security comes in at 11pm. How convenient! The staff didn’t bother informing the 7 guests (vehicles) that were burglarized at only 1030pm at all. I had to find out the next morning at 7am after my vehicle sat outside in snowy / winter weather all night with a broken window. The manager is lazy and incompetent. He actually said to me today that this had never happened. But looking over the Google reviews says otherwise. Looks like it’s fairly common to have breakins on their property. He did offer me an apology, but was sure to still charge me full price for the room.

Would not recommend staying here. Car was broken into over night (when I talked to the office manager they said the security person was "late to the scene" so they didn't catch the people but saw them get away, so helpful). 5 vehicles were broken into and they did not do anything to help make the situation better beside bringing someone out with a broom to get the glass off the parking lot (which they would have had to do anyway). Clearly not a safe area and if a hotel doesn't do anything to help make the situation better like comp the room or give a discount, etc. It really is frustrating and makes your entire stay negative. Stay here at your own risk or if you don't have a vehicle.

One thing I don’t like is horrible customer service. I just checked into the hotel. I was instantly met by the front desk clerk who asked me, “what time is check in?” So no “hello,” just attitude. I was confused considering I have never had an issue checking in early with my status, and I’m definitely not accustomed to the clerks being rude. This isn’t about my status or being able to check in early but instead her horrible attitude. My initial response was “I’m sorry?” because I was confused by her demeanor considering she had her hands in her pocket and instantly began a rude back and forth with me about the check in time. She then says, “check in is at 4,” which I replied I put 2 on the reservation but we got in early so I came by to possibly check in now. She then says, “well if the room isn’t ready how will you check in?” This all happened BEFORE she checked to see if the room was ready, which it was. I even apologized if me checking in early upset her and she said, “ it’s fine.” She wasn’t wearing a name tag for me to get her name, but she had on a black wig with bangs with a tight blue employee shirt. I really hope the rest of my stay is better. It’s always disappointing to start a trip off with bad customer service. I just hope she’s not a manager resulting in this being the standard for the customer service at the hotel. I will add the person she was standing around having a conversation with, when I arrived, did say hello.

While staying at this location we had several complaints that were never addressed. Also I was told that I would be getting extra points because of it, but have not received any. Our first night there we said that the light beside our bed was not working. We asked 2 more times about getting it fixed but it never happened. We also had no hot water in the kitchen and were unable to get the dishwasher to work. We complained about this on day 2. We were assured that both situations would be taken care of. That night the dishwasher made a beeping sound every minute which radically effected my sleep. When I told the person at the desk he said that the maintenance person never showed up and that he would be coming today. He also told me that he was going to give me bonus points to compensate for everything.....well when we left 4 days later, the light still didn't work and there was no hot water in the kitchen. The dishwasher was run, but wondering if maybe the maid figured it out?? The cleaning staff did an amazing job, but front desk care was terrible.
