Customer Reviews
Absolutely fell in love with this place at first sight!!! This campground is amazing! Mike (the owner) was so helpful with everything that I needed!! The view when you walk outside your camper/RV is wonderful! Can't wait to see it when the snow melts!!
Mike and Lucia were amazing. When I came to Vermont as a travel nurse, the original place i had fell through. I called Mike and he said he could accommodate my stay. He even stayed open late that first night to get me checked in. I will be forever grateful. The place is so peaceful. They even have fun events they do like a pig roast and a Halloween decorating contest. The owner's teenager even offers dog walking, which was a God send. As my first solo trip and my first travel contract, everyone was wonderful. If I'm ever back in the area, I will be back at rest and nest.
Very nice campground and easy access to/from interstate. My one complaint is if you require a sign-up to use the laundry facilities, please post that important information on the campground flyer you hand out to campers on their arrival. Also this information is not listed on your website under "Rules". This is the first campground we have stayed at in the past 8 years that has this policy.
Stayed here for a month. Mike is definitely working on the property and I commend his efforts. The pool and playground are very dated and almost dangerous. There’s a fish pond that sported a nice little snapping turtle while we were in it! The pine needles are overwhelming-they get into everything. The lot we had was supposedly the most sought after but was just an unlevel, muddy mess. The 2 hour window for the laundry sign up is very inconvenient!
We stayed here for 13 weeks for a travel nursing contract working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. We had a great experience, the owners are very accommodating friendly. While quite busy, especially on the weekends, we never had anyone being excessively loud or making noise after hours. Aside from work, there's plenty to go see and do within a couple of hours in any direction, the scenery is fantastic everywhere you go. We definitely would stay again if in the area.
We were pleasantly surprised with how nice this campground was. We were only staying two nights while I visited my sister, and once we were there, I wished it could have been longer! It sure looked like there were a lot of people staying there, but you would never have known as it was SO quiet! With the name Rest N Nest, they aren't joking! It is as peaceful as could be, not to mention clean! An added plus was the kindness of folks. First of all, we had a horrible trip with rental cars (yes, three rentals in two days) we ended up forgetting our tent at my brother's house, but we were allowed to sleep in our car the first night. I know that some campgrounds don't allow that! Second, the sweet woman who offered to lend us an extra tent that she had. She didn't know us, yet the kindness was incredibly heartwarming! Hopefully we can come back again in the future for a longer stay!
We absolutely loved this this place, clean quite and family oriented. The host were amazing and extremely welcoming.
