Beautiful free camping spot. We stayed for 13 days due to loving it so much! Free hot showers, picnic table at site, garbage removal. We kayaked every day. Only negative was hearing the echo of generators from across the water and a camper parked in the area by road where they let their 2 dogs tied up outside barking, but the owners were not there. They just left them there. They would come by every other day and just left them out there by themselves. That was frustrating. We did alert the park employees. They were great people! Cannot wait to stay again.
The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because they don't have hook ups or a dump station. Other than that, this is one of my FAVORITE places to go. Leon Locke runs a tight ship and it shows!
We had a wonderful time. We visited nearby Spring City for their fall festival also. Nice area. We will be back.
This is a free campground located around a lake. It is a very beautiful and quiet campground. The land is not flat, it is what I would consider rolling hills so know there are not alot of flat spots to pitch a tent or park and rv. We didn't mind it too much. There is a decent shower and restroom with running water. If you want firewood a man comes through once or twice a day, usually in the morning around 8 or 9am and again around 5 or 6pm. He sells wood for a great price and brings it to your site. My only complaint is that it is very hard to find firewood close by if you miss the wood man. We will definitely stay here again👍
Great place clean free camping and has picnic tables and right by the water and has side for tents only n ok generators with beach and side for campers that run generators and has bathrooms and showers
