Customer Reviews
Free dispersed camping. No power, water, or dump station. Can fit any size RV, including 45 foot 5th wheel trailers. Most sites have rock fire pits. Great view of lake and ridges. It does tend to be breezy here. There is a hang gliding landing zone next to the campground. There are boat launches nearby.
Beach access closed to vehicles 2/2/2024. No sign of homeless folks. Nice place to camp when not windy. Bring you canoe, kayak as the river has lots of places to explore.
Great place to camp for free. Swimming, fishing, hiking and other activities await. We come here many times a year, although like any Free camping, the space is limited. Update: Riffe lake camping site is open again! after a major overhaul and clean up, the area is looking better than it has in years. Some of the sites have been blocked off for day use and parking only. They added working, clean Porta potties as well. The lake level has also gone up since last year.
My family and I love spending time here. I have spent time here off and on my whole life. Lots of day trips and camping. It's beautiful here. There is something to occupy just about any one. From swimming to nature hikes, fishing, flying kites is a fun activity on the right day adults and children enjoy. Bring your camera cuz prettiest pictures I've taken come from around the lake.
This place is awesome for summer time fun. You can camp at the camping grounds or along the lake where you vehicles are not banned. The water is warm so don't worry about freezing. Taking your boat out, fishing or just plain exploring is just a fraction on what you can do here.
