Rincon Parkway Campground Introduce
Welcome to Rincon Parkway Campground, located at 4668 Pacific Coast Hwy in Ventura, California, USA. As part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Rincon Parkway Campground offers a unique but limited camping experience primarily focused on ocean views. You can reach them at (805) 654-3951 or +1 805-654-3951.
Rincon Parkway Campground is best known for its beautiful ocean views, making it a popular spot for those who want to wake up to a scenic coastal landscape. However, potential campers should be aware of several significant drawbacks. According to customer reviews, the campground is essentially a noisy parking spot rather than a traditional campground. The sites are crammed together, offering no privacy, and there are minimal amenities. Notably, there are no hookups, no direct access to the beach, and no security or check-in process. The campground is situated very close to a busy highway and a railroad, resulting in constant and loud noise from cars and trains throughout the night. This makes it a very noisy environment, unsuitable for those seeking peace and quiet. The campground is primarily suitable for those who prioritize ocean views above all else and are willing to tolerate the noise and lack of amenities. It is described as a place to look at the beach, but not to engage in any other activities. Some reviews even suggest that other RVs park for free further down the parkway. Overall, Rincon Parkway Campground is best suited for short stays where the ocean view is the primary attraction, and campers are prepared for a noisy and amenity-lacking experience.
Here are some key features and considerations:
- Stunning Ocean Views: Primary attraction of the campground.
- Significant Road Noise: Constant noise from a nearby highway.
- Railroad Noise: Additional noise from a nearby railroad.
- Cramped Sites: Sites are very close together, offering no privacy.
- No Hookups: No electrical, water, or sewer hookups.
- No Beach Access: No direct access to the beach from the campground.
- No Security or Check-In: Lack of security and formal check-in process.
- Minimal Amenities: Very limited amenities.
- Noisy Parking Spot: More of a parking spot than a traditional campground.
- Location: Situated in Ventura, CA, providing a coastal parking experience.
Rincon Parkway Campground offers beautiful ocean views but comes with significant noise and minimal amenities. If you prioritize the view and are prepared for a noisy and basic experience, it might be suitable for a short stay. However, if you are looking for a traditional campground experience with amenities and peace and quiet, this is likely not the right choice.

Customer Reviews
This is a great place to do one thing- look at a beautiful ocean. If you go to the beach to look at the beach, you will dig it here. If, however, you like to do more than sit and look at the beach there is literally nothing you can do here. Also, the sites are crammed together, so there is no privacy.
Cars are flying by all night on the highway just a few feet from the parkway and it’s also just near a railroad so it makes the spot very very noisy. Plus there there is no hook up, no access to the beach, no security, no check in. Other RVs seemed to be parked for free a little further the parkway. I would not call this a campground. We’ve been fooled by the sea view on photos but overall you’re paying for a noisy parking spot.
The best place to enjoy our Beautiful Ocean And the sound of the waves Rincon Beach This is definitely a million dollar view.
This RV camping location in Southern California is exceptionally picturesque and offers a no-frills experience. It stands out from any comparable sites in Orange County. Ventura County Parks deserves recognition for establishing this excellent destination for RV enthusiasts. Having visited this location over 25 times with family and friends, we consistently feel excitement as we exit the 101 freeway onto Pacific Coast Highway. It's important to note that only fully contained RVs with functional grey water tanks and bathrooms are permitted. Reservations must be made three months in advance, particularly during the spring and summer seasons. The reservation process is entirely online, requiring only the provision of your RV license plate. Upon arrival, the Ranger will verify the license plate, making the check-in process remarkably simple. Check-in time is 12:00 PM, and check-out time is 11:00 AM. We will be back soon!
Beautiful RV sites, specially, on a sunny day, looking out on the Pacific Ocean. No hook ups, so be prepared for Boondocking…
