Rippling Stream Campground Introduce
Rippling Stream Campground, located at 3640 Reynoldsburg Baltimore Rd NW, Baltimore, OH 43105, USA, offers a mix of positive and negative experiences, particularly regarding cleanliness and upkeep. As part of the "Campgrounds & RV Parks" category, it serves both short-term and long-term campers.
Positive aspects of the campground include its location, which is outside the city but still conveniently close to necessary amenities. New owners are reportedly making improvements, and the campground is known for its quiet nights. The front office staff, particularly Barb, is described as very nice. The campground also offers strong WiFi, which is a significant advantage for many visitors.
Amenities include a pool, playground, volleyball and basketball courts, a bounce house, a camp store, and a game room. However, numerous negative reviews highlight issues with cleanliness and maintenance. The pool is reported to be dirty, with a malfunctioning vacuum. The game room and laundry room are combined and described as old and cluttered. The bathhouses are particularly criticized for their poor condition, with non-functioning doors and a lack of cleanliness. Some reviews mention that guests need to bring their own toilet paper.
The camp store is described as cramped and dusty, resembling an old service garage. The campground has a significant number of full-time residents, giving it a trailer park feel. One reviewer reported arriving at 4 p.m. on a Sunday to find the office closed, with no prior communication about this.
While the campground has potential and offers a range of amenities, the lack of upkeep and cleanliness is a major concern. Potential visitors should be aware of these issues before booking a stay. The new owners' efforts to improve the campground may address some of these concerns in the future.
Rippling Stream Campground has mixed reviews on cleanliness and amenities. Located at 3640 Reynoldsburg Baltimore Rd NW.

This place is out of the city but close enough to get things you need. It has been taken over by new owners who are very nice and they are making improvements to make it an even better place. It's quite at night and it's definitely for camping short or long term.
I can not for the life of me figure out how this place has a 4.1 star rating. It has so much potential, but it’s dirty. It’s basically an RV trailer park. A large majority of the campers are full time because it’s open year round. Let’s start with the good. Barb in the front office is very nice! The WiFi is probably the best I’ve had in a campground. We even got it inside the camper! There is a pool, playground, volleyball & basketball court, bounce house, camp store, and game room. The bad! While all those things exist in the campground, they are old and dirty. The pool vacuum didn’t move the entire time we were here (5 days). There was a ridiculous amount of dirt in the pool. The game room consisted of 2 games and a pool table. It also shared space with the laundry room. The bath houses are just gross. Neither bathroom door worked. I never saw someone clean them while we were there and you had to take your own toilet paper to ensure you had some. The camp store reminded me of an old service garage. Everything was cramped and cluttered and had dust on it. We arrived at 4 p.m. on a Sunday and the office was closed. Thankfully I knew what site we were in and could set up. No communication on that at all. I could go on and on about what I find wrong with this place. Long story short: this place has such potential! But the upkeep is minimal. I can handle old! I can handle things needing updating. A coat of paint would make a world of difference. What I can’t handle is filth. And this place is filthy!
We stayed here for 6 nights, central to where we wanted to go. For a full hookup, you can't beat $40 a night and you have to keep this in mind. Sites are clean but tight and really no room to use your firepit if someone is next to you. NO PICNIC TABLES are provided, so bring your own table if you want one. So much potential here and very little money would make a huge difference. Most of the sites appear to be seasonal (open year round) and some people are living here fulltime. Condition of some of the campers are quite poor and rundown and affects the appearance and opinion of this campground; cost to live here fulltime is only $3500 a year. Restrooms are large enough and clean enough but both doors on women's stalls did not close and one door simply needed knob screwed in better. Often there was no TP. Pool was large but not routinely cleaned and campstore was filthy, dust everywhere. Again, so much potential to be a nice place if more effort was put into maintenance, cleanliness and restrictions on the condition of trailers on premises. The Good - Miss Barb was friendly and accommodating. The Pint House in nearby Baltimore is quite nice. Hocking Hills is 45 min away, the Wilds and Columbus zoo are about an hour.
This was a one night stop for us on our way home. The campsite is situated in a nice area. The sites are well proportioned and we had full hook up. The sites numbers are not very easy to see. The toilets were rustic. They have a swimming pool, children’s playground, basketball hoops and plenty of room for children to play. They seem to have quite a few seasonal campers. They must have had rain before we arrived as the road was muddy. On some of the sites the sewage hookup is at a higher elevation than a camper.
Had our family reunion there in their shelter. Nice amount of picnic tables, brick grill (if u don't have your own), water spigot-something you might not think about but comes in super handy! I didn't have anything to do with the reservations etc but I was told the new owners are awesome to work with, much better than the previous! Would definitely recommend Rippling Stream Campground for birthdays, reunions, grad parties etc!
