Our family stayed in 2 small but nice cabins that were built in 1941. We had our own bathrooms and a large wooden storage cabinet. The whole area was quiet with great views of the mountains. Rising Sun has a good restaurant called Two Dog Flats with very tasty and healthy food options with moderate to high prices. The picnic area across the road was closed because a mother bear and cub had been visiting there. There is a camp store with some basic food, camping supplies and gifts. All of the prices in the store are extremely high! So be sure to stock up on everything before hand. The staff at Rising Sun is very helpful and friendly.

It was great. We reached there at 4 in the morning. Luckily someone was leaving. We didn't have to wait in the gate as we were there so early, we directly went to an empty site on Saturday morning. The site was clean. Restrooms have water and it's fairly clean with paper towels. Our campsite was right next to the mountain so the sunrise and sunset was very pretty and dreamy. The price was only $20 per night so very cheap compared to other places.

Great campground if you are working your way from the west side of the park to the east side as we were doing. It's close to Logan's Pass and the hike to St. Mary / Virginia Falls. It's also not as difficult to get a spot as is the case of Many Glacier. The only negative is while our campsite was nicely tucked in off the road, it did directly back up closely against another site.

You can't beat staying in the park. This is the closest campground to Logan Pass which helped us get there early in the morning before it got busy and the parking lot turned into a madhouse. We saw plenty of wildlife, even a bear. That means you have to keep a very clean camp. We kept everything in our car except our clothes which we kept in the tent. The park service is very protective of its bears and for good reason. Don't give a bear any excuse to be sniffing around your campsite. The sites are a little close and a little small, but we spent most of our time hiking and exploring the park so that wasn't a big deal. We also appreciated the showers behind the nearby camp store. You get 8 minutes of hot water for $2.50. I would definitely recommend this campground, and I would stay again. I posted some pics of the view from our site.

Awesome campground with good views. A close drive to many popular things including Logan pass and going to the sun road. Come early for the best chance at getting a spot. Bathrooms are nice. If you want to shower you gotta but tokens at the gift shop near by
