  • Rented a space with drew at river and rails when I bought my first camper and they were very nice and friendly, accommodated me on a pretty short notice for a monthly stay which I ended up leaving half way through but would highly recommend especially for a long term situation. Beautiful surroundings and very close to anything you need or many great tourist attractions. Decent sized level full hook up spaces with concrete pads and room to park.
  • My family and I have been renting a lot here long term and couldn’t be any happier. Everyone has a riverfront view, beautiful field out in the front and the train comes through but not too often and surprisingly isn’t too loud. The bathhouse’s are nice and clean but you will run into other guests that are not pretty much anywhere you go unfortunately. If we come back from New Mexico we will definitely rent from here again. Bea, quiet and serene.

Whether you're exploring the scenic beauty of North Carolina or seeking a peaceful place to call home for an extended period, River and Rails RV Park offers a perfect blend of nature and comfort. With its friendly staff, convenient location, and stunning surroundings, it’s no wonder that guests return time and again.

This was a super cute campground. It started out as a good experience, but we were a little less than impressed with some of the services/management. When we arrived the manager turned on the potable water connection and the water ran rusty for a 20 seconds… we decided not to drink the water. The camper next to us as had two dogs inside that whined and barked incessantly from 4am until we left at 11. When we got up we went to shower and there was no hot water. My husband went to call the manager who would not answer his phone. Even though he was on his phone lots when he came out of his camper. The manager stated there was no hot water because they were out of propane and was more concerned if we had paid for the night than he was if we enjoyed are stay, and told us to shower in our RV (which does not work) We get it, things happen like being out of propane, but we weren’t very impressed with the response

The man who runs this place is wonderful and very kind. Has nice hot showers, mail room, propane, sits on the river. Quiet and they care about their tenants who stay here. Always going out of their way to make sure you are comfortable in your lot.
