Customer Reviews
We stayed the end of Feb /beginning March 2025. It’s been peaceful, quiet and a lovely location near family.
We had reservations for the week of 10-13-24…. Had to cancel because we had hurricane damage…. Called Oct 1st to cancel and was told would not get our deposit back…. That’s okay if they need it more than I do they can keep it. But I think with the situation it should be refunded…you can’t control nature…. And I know good and well they will have that spot reserved before the day is out.. Therefore, my family won’t be staying at this campground .
Needs more pavement. Get crowded in summer month's. Very close camping sites. Must love being around people and dogs.
We love this campground! It is So clean and well kept. The owners are So Nice and Friendly. The Facility offers So Much to do and the Scenery is Beautiful.🥰
I usually never leave a negative review, but this is something people considering this campground need to be aware of. We (my husband & 2 other couples) booked a camping trip for the weekend of September 19th 2024. We booked this trip the first of October 2023. We called to cancel last week (March)! She told me that we would not be getting our deposit back because it was on a “event” weekend. Apparently the fairgrounds are having some sort of music festival. When we booked no one told us it was a non-refundable deposit. Or it was an “event” going on. That would have been nice to know. I pointed that out to her. Also that we are canceling months in advance. It’s not like they aren’t going to be able to book our sites. She even said they fill up quickly for that weekend. I feel it’s very dishonest of them to take our money when we weren’t advised it was a “event” weekend and our deposit was non-refundable. We probably wouldn’t have booked that far in advance or changed our dates!! I feel as if we gave them plenty of a notice. We have camped a lot of places and this is a first for us. Just remember to ask all your questions before you book, because they are very lacking in the customer service department. It’s basically non existent! Very frustrating! It’s family owned so I guess they just do whatever they want. I really wish there was someone higher up I could speak with to express my concerns. Maybe I should call the chamber of commerce in Hiawassee or the BBB.
