My hubs and I have been here three months now. This is one of our favorite campgrounds and we obviously love it. It is a fantastic place if you are looking for peace and relaxation. The bath houses are spot on, salt water pool, ponds to fish in, close to the river. They have wonderful activities for the little ones. My hubs and I participate as pirates. So much fun! It is not incredibly close to a larger town but it’s only a 20 minute drive for whatever you want. I admire the owners here. Very hardworking people. I highly recommend River Bottom Farms Family Campground!

Park is ok. Nothing near it and it's pretty run down. Our site was not clean but was full hook up. Water pressure was pretty low. This place could be really nice, but the owners would have to do some work. Tall weeds growing in pool area and sites. Many sites are long term rentals and were not kept up either. Bugs were terrible. We've been a few times over the years, but not sure we'll be back.

We've been to this local family campground twice now and have enjoyed staying both times. They have activities for the kids on the weekends and a pool during the warmer months. My family really enjoyed our time there. The price was reasonable, the sires are clean and well maintained, and the staff has always been kind and considerate. We are looking forward to going back.

I would like to say that the camp ground over all is good, but the trails of the campgrounds are bug infested, no matter what u do they attack. Also I would like to mention the pool, the unhealthiest pool I have ever been in, had my skin so itchy it was unbelievable I dug holes in my back. My friend threw up after getting out. Another thing is do not trust these people with your credit card they will find anyway to charge, like for inference people visiting you is a extra charge, use of fans n etc is a extra charge. The people in the environment are unfriendly. One man in the pool thought he owned everything around him. Wouldn’t even let me enjoy my swim n neither would the water. Rating -10/10

We recently stayed at River Bottoms Family Campground (a Jellystone Campground) in Swansea, SC, in our Skoolie. While this is a beautiful park with fantastic open green spaces, quiet trails, relaxing ponds, and a tranquil stream, I wouldn't necessarily choose it as a family getaway destination. Our stay was a resting point on the way home, and we were aware of the pool closure, so this review does not reflect that aspect. We received a 10% booking discount with our Good Sam membership. The campsites are well-arranged and spacious, and the park is very clean. Our children absolutely loved the jumping pillow. Wildlife sightings added a touch of excitement to our stay. Other activities were scheduled for the weekends to engage guests. However, the park's theme is outdated and sparse. There are only a few faded, peeling signs featuring Yogi Bear characters, which is disappointing. My 3-year-old was curious about the theme after seeing a sign in the bathroom, leading us to watch Hanna-Barbera shows. He kept asking, "But where was Yogi Bear?" Commit to a theme or don't have one at all. The employees were okay—they did their jobs efficiently but weren't overly friendly and didn't seem very happy to be there. This suggests a lack of engagement or satisfaction among the staff, which can affect the overall experience for visitors. Overall, it's a good park for a stopover, but it falls short as a themed family getaway. Campsite area seems very safe and tucked away for a quiet getaway.
