I just love camping here!! Everyone is so friendly!! Angela and Charles are so sweet to us everytime we come in. They have a great staff that will help you with anything. The seasonal campers are so nice also I even had them offer us breakfast and dinner one day!! I can not say enough great things about this place!!!! We have even come in early and they said no problem and sent one of the boys to make sure our site was clean. Hand dipped ice cream is so good and the cones are huge!! When we camp here we are here for 10 days or more at a time, 3 years and still going!!!! The day we were leaving there was a line for the dump station and Charles came out and handed us all waters . He said im so sorry for the wait . He didn't have to do that but that was so sweet of him to do. This is why I come back every year, and will continue to bring my kids here and friends and family.
Peaceful little campground with helpful staff and small beach area off the Muskegon River. River is wide and shallow making 4 hour tubing and kayaking trips a must while your there! No worries if you don't have something to float on. The campground will provide for a small fee.
It is not a rustic campground. Good for Rvs, and people who do not worry about privacy. Good tubing, kayaking, and prices at the convenient shop. There is even a game room and small laundry facility. Electric at each site, close set sites, some sites with fantastic spots on the river. The people are good people. We lucked out with an end site that had the only forest surrounding!
The new owners seem to care about the camping experience! They’ve went out of their way to make sure my experience was pleasant. When I got to the campground I had a fuse blow on the camper and couldn’t operate the power jacks, I went up to their store to see what they had and told them about my problem, they went over to a drawer pulled out several fuses (which I guess normally they charge for) but they just handed them to me and said “I hope your stay gets better, didn’t charge me for them. Oh and when we we all set up after only few, my black tank was full and I still had several days of camping left. I seen the owner out making his rounds and noticed I was about ready to hook up and asked “leaving already” I told him “my black tank was full I need to dump” he said stay there, I go get the honey wagon” so he went and got their pump wagon and emptied my tank for me right there! They went above and beyond to make sure I had a good camping experience! Highly recommend!
The lots were huge, their are two places with easy access to put in and float down, one was 1 hour, the further was 4 hours. Weather for fishing was tough, as it was a bluebird ski, but we caught several, and 2 were really nice smallies
