Very beautiful open campground with available electric hook ups and water the pavilion offers full counter area with sink and grilling area there is several large wooden picnic tables located within the pavilion centered around a large open fireplace inside the pavilion area is also electric operated lights for use as well the restrooms are located nearby
Had a fantastic time even though it rained the whole time! Having the indoor, tables fire pit, BBQ, sink, electricity, etc..made it doable.
We rented this entire site for a family reunion, and it was perfect for us. Roughly ten trailers and lots of extra vehicles fit without a problem. There is no mobile service at this campground. Site was clean and well cared for. The pavilion was a godsend due to the weather. It's about thirty five minutes to any supplies, or cell service, so come prepared.
Rivers Edge is a great group campsite. Being centrally located close to the coast and close to Philomath is perfect. No wi-fi can be both good and bad for some. Bonus points for a camp host that is amazing to work with!
Been going camping at this place every year for the last 24 or 25 years. Great group camp site! With plenty of trees to park your tent under. Big field to play games like football, baseball, and other great things. River right next to it with paved path down to the water. We have had over 100 people camping here at one time and caught enough crawfish to feed them all. Great place!
We stayed at River Edge Campground and had a great time! Just a heads up—this place is completely off the grid. There’s zero cell service (literally none), so make sure to download directions and maps ahead of time because once you’re out there, you’re fully unplugged. It added to the peaceful vibe and made it easier to disconnect and just enjoy being in nature. The campground itself is super quiet and tucked away, which we loved. It’s about a 30-minute drive to Waldport, and the road isn’t bad at all, pretty smooth and scenic. The sites were clean and had a good amount of space, and falling asleep to the sound of the river was such a treat. The bathrooms could definitely use some improvement; they're not the best, but it’s also a campground, so I went in with realistic expectations. Just something to keep in mind if you’re someone who needs a bit more comfort. All in all, it’s a great little spot if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy some peace and quiet in the forest. Would definitely camp here again!
