We went for a two night stay & really enjoyed ourselves!! The hosts were very attentive and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. The showers are nice, we just had to call and they ran (literally) to turn them on for us due to them periodically shutting them off for weather purposes. Our friend tried hanging a hammock and broke a tree (our fault not theirs) && they came and check on us right away. They weren’t concerned about the tree, just our friend. They are pet friendly, just keep your pet near by you. The fishing was great and peaceful there. They have docks to fish from. They do have porter potties throughout the grounds that they keep pretty clean which I appreciated as well. We will definitely be going back!

Really gorgeous spot! Loved our campsite and it was close enough to town to get whatever we needed. Camp host delivered our firewood to us when asked! The roads are a bit rough and no lights (which we liked a lot but could help to have a solar light at each site just for help finding after hours! So make sure to bring!) Bathroom is also just a portable potty! most of the showers were hot and they are so cute- but sometimes water didn’t warm up. Would love to tube or kayak here in the future but we really enjoyed just camping and hanging out in Austin during the day this time!

SHOWER REVIEW! Where to start! Rain fall shower heads tall enough for Bigfoot. Cute benches in each stall with a shelve for shoes - so they don’t get wet!! Plenty of hooks on the door for towels and bags. Motion sensor lights in stalls, and string lights outside make it feel less spooky at night :) Nothing like a hot shower after a day spent in the river! I appreciate this place, seems like they are always improving things.. there’s a new deck in front of the shower this time around. I met the charming carpenter who built them - lovely, talented team they got out there! LOVE the showers, looking forward to my next visit :) Thank you RFH 🫶

I love camping and this has to be one of my favorite parks. The sites are far apart from one another so you can sit back and enjoy nature without someone’s loud music. The park is beautiful and peaceful. Our site had a private dock to enjoy the sunset. The site had a lot of trees, it definitely helped to keep cool in this Texas hot weather. If we needed anything it was brought to our camp site. I will definitely make this my new go too camping site.

This is my favorite place to camp in Texas, and it’s only 20 minutes from my house. I LOVE the new private docks on the river side sites. The water flows year round. The sites are very spacious and shady. The staff is so very chill. Most of the year, it’s pretty empty too. This is my happy place, where I go to recharge in nature. It’s my dog’s happy place too (:
