Very nice campground right on the river. There is a small forward area with sites and if you travel further next to the river you get to a larger section...this is where the host is also located. There are sites right up against the river but even if you are not on the river, there is plenty of river access for all guest and they even have benches for your wife to sit on and give you advice while you fish.

Wonderful hosts and a beautiful site right on the river. What more could you ask for? This has to be one of the best forest service campgrounds we have stayed at. Its about nine miles off rte 149, worth the effort. Before I had the camper unhooked I hook a trout in the river.

This was a great campground! Quite campers, super clean (and nice smelling) bathrooms, and the camp host site was decked out with a stunning light setup that we saw while taking a walk just after dark. The sites are roomy with plenty of parking for 1 or 2 cars. There were RVs but I did not notice electric hook ups and I did hear a few generators running at one point. Several sites have spectacular river access. There is also a trail head to box canyon. We hiked and fished a few miles down the trail. The views were stunning and included plenty of mule deer and wild flowers. We will definitely return to this location next year.
