River Rest Resort

Didn’t say at the resort but the restaurant there was AMAZING. Had the Bigfoot burger and my boyfriend hasn’t stopped talking about it for days. The banana milkshake was so good and i also got the reneesme lemonade. Lemonade in a blood bag that they have for Halloween. It was really cool and good. I would def go back!

Beautiful spot on the yuba river, south fork. About 1/3 of the site are backed almost right up to the river! The water was very clear, not too cold, and there were even spots deep enough to jump off the cliffs on the other side. All sites have full RV hookups (sewer, water, power) which was very nice considering how remote the area is. No cell service, but that was nice too. The little town of Washington has a hotel with an excellent bar and restaurant if you dont feel like cooking. The bathrooms were nice, and there's even a volleyball court, horse shoe pit, and playground with a couple swings. We will be returning again, with float tubes this time! Highly recommend checking this spot out.

Pro: Great place. Beautiful river. Full hookups. Cons: rules are not enforced. Two nights in a row rude people with no camping etiquette show up after 9pm and have side by side and vehicle headlights shining every which way while setting up their camp past 10pm. And you get nickel and dime for every little thing extra . Extra dog. Extra kid. Purchased firewood but then they said no fires and never got reimbursement.

This little RV tent camping resort is a gem next to the Yuba River. We stayed the weekend, and with no cell service, it was perfect for unplugging. Bathrooms are kept very clean and a little office with supplies if you forget stuff. Each RV site has full hookups. We had a 30amp, and some have 50amp. My rig (5th wheel with dually) is 50 feet long and didn't have any problem driving to the resort. The downhill grade is not bad at all.

We haven't stayed overnight, just parked and went offroading on the town trails. From our experience the bathroom were well maintained compare to most overnight camping grounds. Off course you are in small town with little to no reception, so cash is key. If you use cards most places will add extra charges for convenience fees. The lady managing the front desk reception was very helpful and she gave full directions with map of the trails. Great place to checked out of the digital world and enjoy the scenery. Lots of trails and swimming holes. Although be careful on the trails, as some have massive drops and only one lane. Be mindful of the locals who resides here to ensure you do not impede, but enjoy your time here. I will add more once we camp here.

Best camping place I have ever loyally coming here for 30+ years! Staff are great the facilities such as shower and bathroom are great. They also have a store in case you need something you forgot from water shoes food/candy and more. Great family oriented place and they have two shorelines one for dogs and one without right in the river.
