Wow!! This was our 1st ever camping trip and this location was a beautiful - Home Sweet Home Alabama - one! The area was woodsy and very clean and not to mention quiet. Loved watching the boats as they had a fishing tournament going on in the mornings on the river. It was too nice to leave so on our last day we asked the staff if our spot was available to add two more days to our stay and we stayed!!. Our overall 7 day RV camping trip will stay with us for a lifetime! Our dogs stayed well behaved as all other pets did as well, no issues. The trails were lovey and ended at the river. Husband even caught some big mouth bass!! We will be back! Thank you to all staff who assisted us in making our trip a memorable one❤️🌳🍂🍁🎃🐶🐟🎃.
A lovely RV campground/resort for snow birds. Big , clean, quiet sites with friendly helpful staff and lovely guests. New common room with laundry. Nice walking trail and park area near the fishing pier. Easy acces to towns with ample restaurants, and stores within 30 minutes. Northern Alabama, so dont expect S. Florida weather, but we enjoyed the surprises Mother Nature brought to our adventure, including flock of bluebirds. .
We loved our stay! We rented cabins 8 and 9 and they were ready and clean upon arrival. The loop where the cabins are located is really quiet and great for kids running, biking, and being outdoors. Kitchens were stocked with essentials like cups, plates, and silverware which was very convenient. If I had to critique anything I would suggest adding a curtain to the bunk room door opening in cabin 8 OR a mini blind on the small window in the kitchen. That sunshine had those kiddos up at the crack of dawn both days 😆.
We have stayed in the cabins at River Ridge Retreat in Guntersville, Alabama at least 4 times, and each trip is even more enjoyable than the last!! The cabins are perfect, the surroundings are beautiful, and we have already booked our next trip down! The owners are amazing people who go out of their way to make your stay everything you could hope for (and more)! I 100% recommend this place!!
My family came for the Thanksgiving holidays. We actually had 3 campers and 1 cabin. We loved the location; however, the cabins were very inconvenient to try and visit with family members. The garbage dumpster was inconvenient due to the weather -- it was cold. Most RV Retreats that we have stayed all have WIFI, a bathhouse and garbage pickup at each site daily. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we are planning to visit again in the spring and bring our golf cart. We loved watching the deer roaming freely and the office staff was very friendly and helpful. The checking in and booking process was very easy as well. This was our first stay on Lake Guntersville and it is a beautiful lake.
First trip camping at this little hidden treasure. What a little piece of Alabama heaven. I can't say enough about what a wonderful place this is. Great staff ! Spacious and spotless camp sites. Lots of room to fish, hike and just relax. Lots of mother nature to see. Absolutely gorgeous place. Amenities were very nice too from bath house, dog park and checkin station. Top notch! We will be back again and again.
Second time staying at River Ridge Retreat this year. This place is perfect for us. Everything you need and very clean. Peaceful and quiet tucked away on Lake Guntersville. Mary is wonderful. We will be regulars staying there. Definitely 5 stars!
