A place of healing and connection to nature. I have visited several times, and always leave feeling rejuvenated by the beauty of the flora and fauna. It is evident this land is well-loved and stewarded, and the staff are always so warm, welcoming and a delight. 10/10
My family has been coming here for years and we love it! Beautiful surroundings and the swimming hole is simply the best. We always stay in the Manitou house. Beds are comfy and the views are unbelievable. The staff is helpful and polite. Help keep this area beautiful by picking up all your trash and respecting the wildlife!
We stayed in the cabins, but there are camp sites too. River is down to a creek this year, but was still a great stay. Very well worth the drive out here and stars galore at night
A mixture of modern amenities and rustic charm, wreathed in the beautiful redwoods and oak trees of the Navarro River riparian zone. In the morning I walked the hundred meters to the river and saw an iridescent dragonfly, a translucent frog, tiny fish writhing against the gentle flow, the dark eyes of a river otter. The glint of light scattered across the waters surface and crowned the somber canopy above. At night when it was chilly I stoked my pot bellied stove, and during the day I opened the cabin window for that intoxication scent of decomposing leaves, timber, and other beckons of the woods. The feeling of life all around me was rich and warm. Thanks for a great trip.
Had the pleasure of doing makeup for one of my clients wedding. It was magical to set up and do makeup on that beautiful deck.
