What a great place to camp. We only stayed for one night and the owner was nice enough to let us park off to the side as we rode the New River Trail. Very easy access to the trail.
The view it was just amazing and don't forget de sunset, wow just crazy. You a have a lot of place for the RV 26 feet, with de pickup and two motorcycles and five dogs and it was not full. We have all service, water, electricity and a connection directly for toilet. It's a quiet place, we connect easly with the nature. We have a fire pit, juste imagine the fire with in background the view. Unbelivable ! ! We made a road trip around with the motorcycle on the Blueridge Parkway road. Sincerely this spot is a perfect place to forget your problem hahaha. Next year we come back againt for sure. Sorry for my english, i'm from Laurentides, Quebec, Canada. See you again. A big thank's for the host Michelle and Jim !
The views are outstanding. So easily accessible. Many campsites that offer this kind of view doesn’t allow easy access. The sites are spaced out well with plenty of room and there is a nearby trail to go for a bike ride or walk. We loved it!
WARNING- DO NOT follow Google Maps the last half mile. From 608, turn on to Aldengate Dr. Follow bright yellow signs for River's Edge on Park Dr. Only 6 sites, RVs only, perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the New River. Awesome views, full hookups, spacious, open sites, good water, and trash. Gravel road and sites. From the park, there is access to the New River Trail down a long, steep, two track. But for biking access, you will probably want to drive 6 miles to the nearest trailhead. NOTE: St Pk Trail charges $7/day parking fee, cash or charge card.
Spending time together with my wife of 40 years, the veiw is spectacular, the host Jim is a wonderful man. Can't say enough.
