The private hot tubs is what attracted me. The cabins are comfy and cozy. This will definitely be my new go to spit. The price can't be beat and a 24 hr hot tub, oh yeah šŸ˜Ž

Spent a week in the "Bear's Den" with my husband and 15 month old son to celebrate my 30th birthday, and it was perfect. We loved having such a serene place to enjoy during nap time and after our boy went to bed, and my husband caught a brown trout in the river right across from our cabin! Special thanks to the staff for doing some emergency personal laundry for us, as well. My son randomly threw up 6 times one night and got it all over his pajamas, pack-n-play sheets, and sleep sack. Very, very thankful they allowed us to throw those items in with all of the towels used to clean up. We can't wait to return again as a family.

This is a well kept secret! The most magical place in Estes. Private hot tubs directly on the river. Historic cabins. Abundant wildlife. I'll be back for sure!

Absolutely amazing area with the cutest cabins! We stayed in the bears den which had a really nice private hot tub and fire pit. The kitchen had everything that we forgot (salt, pepper, oil) and one of us forgot a tooth brush and they even had that too. Emily was so nice, super accommodating, and gave us some great recommendations! We couldnā€™t figure out the hot tub jets and maintenance was out to help us so quickly, we canā€™t remember his name but he was also so kind! We definitely hope to come back!

We live in the Denver area so we could actually have gone to about any place we wanted. Iā€™m dealing with a fatal disease and I needed to find someplace that I could just sit back and relax and let my mind drift toward heaven. I knew I needed a river so I started searching. I wanted to stay pretty close to home so when I found THE RIVER SPRUCE COTTAGES on The Big Thompson riverā€¦. I just knew this was the place ā€¦.so I made a reservation right then and there. I walked onto the property and saw our cabin just steps away from the roaring riverā€¦. I knew I had found my place of peace. I absolutely loved everything about this place. It was hilarious watching me and husband trying to string a fishing pole, but he finally caught a nice rainbow troutā€¦ How fun. The staff was wonderful. Alicia is just a doll, and brought us brownies the night before we left. Iā€™ve already booked three more nights in the middle of October so we will get to see the friends we made and the perfect time for the fall trees and tons of rutting Elk, even on the property. ā€œSunshineā€ was our cottage for three restful nights and It had all we needed and more. The river was about 20 feet away, a hot tub on our porch and all the amenities inside that you wouldnā€™t believe. We only left the property to go to the store and eat out with some friends as we preferred to stay right on the property and enjoy the river every single day. Thatā€™s where I needed to be filled with hope and peace in my spirit once again. I hope you also find your peace and comfort from all that life tries to throw at us. I just cannot recommend this place enough.
