Riverchase Campgrounds

Randomly found this campsite when we were looking at all the national park sites but everything was full. Owner accommodated us that same night when it was getting dark. Campsites are beautiful being directly on the water. Plenty of room and good spots for hammocks. Bathrooms and showers. Far exceeded what we were expecting! Looked like a good place for fishing if that’s what you’re into.

We have been camping at Diane’s for years and years!! Diane has the best kept secret in WV. Her campground is gorgeous, relaxing and always in tip top shape. The bathrooms and showers are always clean and sanitized, the shed is always stocked with fire wood. We tent camp with large crowds and a lot of kids. Diane is always so accommodating to make sure we have fun. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. Meadow Creek is my happy place. We love Diane and Riverchase campground. We are already planning our next trip! -Rhonda Steele & Crew!!

My wife and I spent 5 nights in the Walleye Cabin. We considered camping and opted for the cabin because of concerns about rain - and were glad we did! 2 torrential storms passed through on different nights. The cabin looks to be made from reclaimed barnwood on the inside. It does include a shower, sink and toilet as well as a small fridge/freezer and microwave. Downstairs is a double bed and upstairs are 3 single beds. On the screened-in patio are a set of single bunk beds. There is a small portable AC unit to knock the temperature down a few degrees. Not the same as a full house AC, but enough to make sleeping easier. A large ceiling fan circulates air. If you are tent camping, the tent sites are the largest you'll ever find. Very spacious, close to the river, but not so close you get flooded if it rains hard.

Loving it!!! Right on the New River. Owner is very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend. Quiet area.

My husband and I enjoyed a peaceful weekend at River Chase. We wanted to explore the New River and nearby Hinton, and this was the perfect place to do that. Our campsite was wooded and not directly on the river, but we enjoyed the increased privacy. The bathroom was always stocked and even though there was only one shower each, it wasn't an issue. The only "criticism" I have is that I have no idea how you're supposed to check in. My husband and I made about 2 laps around the campground when someone approached us and asked if they could help us. Maybe a bit more clarity on how to check in and figure out your campsite and stuff would be nice. Other than that, perfect stay.

Would give this little Gem 5 stars if it wasn't for the trains 🚂 , shewww. They are very close and come all hrs days and night .. we stayed a week to explore the area. Was pretty much only RV there. Owner was very nice, bathrooms were outdoor style, I mean outdoor style 🤣🤷🏻‍♂️ . Clean but bugs .. didn't bother us though ..Grounds are very nice and peaceful.. river is very close, if your tent camp you can be right on the river . , RV spots are close but not on the river. Over all. We really enjoyed it there. Id recommend this place for sure. Oh yeh. She has nice little cabins on the property also. Thanks for having us . Mike D
