Riverfront Park / Goose Landing Introduce
Welcome to Riverfront Park / Goose Landing, a charming camping spot nestled along the scenic Mississippi River in Warsaw, Illinois. As part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, this park offers a unique and affordable riverside experience. You can contact them at (217) 256-3214 or +1 217-256-3214. The address is 1000 Water St, Warsaw, IL 62379.
This small park provides approximately 10 camper spots with water and electric hookups, along with a designated area for tent camping. Visitors appreciate the perfect little camping spot facing the water, offering picturesque views and a relaxing atmosphere. While occasional boat and train noises can be heard, they are generally considered mild and more like white noise.
Riverfront Park / Goose Landing offers convenient river access and a boat launch across the parking lot, making it ideal for fishing and boating enthusiasts. Fishing is popular, though visitors should be aware that the catch might include larger gar. A picnic table shelter is available for larger gatherings or group meals.
The park is known for its resident geese, hence the name Goose Landing. While they are a notable presence, they generally do not disturb campers. The park operates on an honor system for payments, with fees of $10 for tent camping and approximately $15 for campers/RVs with water and electric hookups. Visitors place their spot number and payment in an envelope and deposit it in a lockbox. Longer stays can be reserved online.
Amenities include shared water hookups, requiring a splitter and extra hose length, and electrical hookups, which may require two cords to reach the power box. However, the park does not have a dump station or shower house. The nearest dump station is located up the hill in town behind the water company. Play equipment is limited to a merry-go-round.
The park's location is also convenient for those interested in geode hunting, as it is close to the Keokuk geode area. Visitors should be aware that litter can be an issue, particularly after events or from boaters. Locals are working to improve the park, and with community effort, it has the potential to be a 5-star destination.

Customer Reviews
Nice, inexpensive camping spot right on the Mississippi River. We had a blast enjoying Freedom Fest. Had no idea it was schedules and just showed up. We were treated with a free concert and an excellent fireworks show. Shared water, you might need a splitter and an extra length of hose to reach it. Also used two cords to get to the power box. Good price, but no dump station or shower house. The merry go round was the only play equipment, but it was the fastest spinning merry go round we have used. Tons of geese wandering around. Seemed like good fishing, but kids only got a large gar when they threw a line in. Boat access. One steep hill to get to the camp from the north side. If you go the long way in from the south then you can avoid the hills. The dump station is up the hill in town behind the water company. Only sad part was the garbage. There was a lot, both from the festival and from the boaters. I watched locals throw their cigarette butts down without a thoughtš¢. If this was my local park I would work to educate people to not litter. We picked up a bag of trash, but there was just too much! This could be a 5 star gem right on the big ol Mississippi and some of the locals are working to get improvements made. It takes Civic pride amongst the community to keep a park nice though.
Perfect little camping spot facing the water. It is a small park, with maybe 10 camper spots (with water and electric) and an area for tent camping. You can hear the occasional boat or train, but it is nothing like what others have described! I am a pretty light sleeper and the "noise" was more just white noise. A camper with a generator next to me would have been louder (and I was in a tent). River access and boat launch across the parking lot and easy fishing access if you want to fish. There is also a picnic table shelter for bigger events or group meals. There are geese that hang around (hence the name Goose Landing), but they never bothered us in the least! It is an "honor system" type of thing, where if you stay, you just put your spot number and the fee in an envelope and drop it in the lockbox. I believe you can reserve spots online for longer stays, but we were were just passing through and needed a place to stop for the night. It was $10 for tent camping and (I think) $15 for campers/RVs with water and electric. Close to the Keokuk geode area for geode hunting/rockhounding.
