My go to place for camping experience. Great people that work there. Tremendous view wonderful town can't be beat.
Check-in was smooth and professional. Adhere to their rules and limits here. If you try to exceed their limits, they will catch you. There was one of these checking in in front of me. But they have these rules for safety reasons and to ensure that everyone has a good experience. Dogs are allowed, leashed, and you must clean up after them. If camping in campgrounds is your jam, you'll enjoy this one, but it's too full of humanity for me. The bathrooms are decent, but on a Labor Day weekend, when the campground is full, 2 out of 6 of the women's showers are out of order. The lines for women to shower are incredibly long. Lots of trees here, campsites for tents and RVs and lots of river access.
Went to the Kernville 2024 beer festival. It was a rocky beginning. Unorganized at the entrance with the tickets. Once we were in, it was better. Food lines were long but moved quickly. Restrooms maintained throughout the event. It was our 1st time going, so we were unprepared. Bring folding chairs! The event needed more booths selling items, such as t-shirts, caps, and beer mugs, that represent the event. "THE 2024 KERNVILLE BEER FESTIVAL"
Great campground close to town. Well Maintained, clean restrooms.
My first experience here was horrible .. the campground employees kept harassing me and my family … it was ridiculous little things like how our vehicles were parked! On the “third” day there at 8pm while we were trying to cook and have dinner! … their complaining about our vehicle yet they have all kinds of old vehicles, old RVs dumped there! Hazardous! Then employees drinking, cussing being loud .. men going in woman showers to clean while woman are inside.
