Riverside is a fantastic spot for RV and camping enthusiasts, especially in winter. The resort is impeccably maintained, with clean facilities and well-kept grounds that make the stay enjoyable. Its proximity to Whistler Village is a major plus—you can easily walk there to explore shops, restaurants, and activities. Another highlight is its location near the Scandinave Spa, which adds a luxurious touch to the camping experience. If you’re looking for a cozy, well-equipped, and scenic winter camping spot near Whistler, Riverside is perfect! Highly recommend!
We booked two nights at a multi-use site for our stay in Whistler and have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The spot was nestled in the trees and it made for a very cozy fire each night. We made use of the laundry room which was very clean. But most of all, we loved the access to Whistler Village and all it had to offer. We used the Valley Trail every day to get around so no need to move the van! The washroom facilities were immaculate too. Best RV camp in the area!
It’s expensive now. Nice …the campground area is really nice and washrooms are great, clean and well lit. We started staying here becuase hotel rooms were too expensive for us in Whistler. So we decided to camp to save. We have stayed here a number of times over the years …and have loved it, but now…..this has more then doubled in price to camp…to camp! Also, used to be you could request specific sites if you were early enough to book it and get it …now Riverside Campground charges an extra $15.00 to have a specific site. So now…. It’s over $100.00 to camp if you want your favourite site…TO CAMP. What happened to customer service and kindness? Seems like this company is going the same path of airlines…. Charging for more comfy seats and for the “privilege” of carrying your bag with you. Charging for every preference consumers want to make their stay pleasant. Nickel and diming consumers to death. I can no longer recommend this campsite because of this charge for services that should already be included…it’s simply greedy.
$84 for one night in a powered site in the off season seemed a little steep for what we got.. especially as we dont need power hook but no unpowered sites at all. 20 minutes away you can get better quality campgrounds for less than half the price. Very much paying for the location and that’s about it. Site looked onto a car park and road so not even worth it for the view. Washrooms were very clean and very hot shower. Laundry facility on site also, $5 for a wash and $5 for a dry.
We stayed here on a RV spot. The spaces are good. Staff was friendly. Showers are AMAZING!!! Spacious, warm, heated space. And you can take off the shower head. The only downside to this place is that they only do full service in winter. So it gets expensive. Edit: congratulations on the Lies and Luuk Canada roadtrip 2024 silver medal for showers!!!
