There is no free camping at this location. There is a campground further back in the park that is managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Reservations can by made online at recreation.gov. The campground is tent only with no vehicle access from the parking lot to the campground - it's about a 1/2 mile walk. If you book an individual site ($20/night) you have to be boating, rafting, tubing, etc. - rangers will check! The group site ($50/night) can be reserved without going down the river. If you try and camp without a reservation or outside of the campground, rangers will ask you to leave.
