The online reservation fees are way too high! If you try to cancel they'll still take your money. I don't know where all this money is going but it seems like the park should be in better condition. The picnic tables are ready for the scrap pile I think.
Read the follow up comments below-- We had one car and one tent and we expected a nice quiet relaxing weekend, but not so. It seems this is a very overused campground. After we got settled setup, the campsite next to us filled up with at least four cars/trucks and probably 8 to 12 tents. Turned out to be very noisy, lots of people, commotion, headlights at night and people running around. I mentioned it to one of the park employees and he was very rude to us and offered no solution even though these people were very clearly breaking the park rules by having so many tents and vehicles on one site. He said they are a group who reserved in advance so apparently the park rules don't apply. UPDATE: I spoke to the park superintendent about the problems, and after a bit of discussion he agreed to comp our next stay. We will try it again and see if it's any better.
River is so close to the campsite, lovely evening views.
