"Disc ⛳ course was active. Circled the guy playing and the target in the first photo. It's a pretty natural course. You're in the high desert plains, and this is what nature looks like."
"Sought this park out to take a break on a long road trip to stretch me and the dog. It was perfect for that. I was there at 8:30am, plenty of shade. Open area along river would be hot in the middle of the day. Last photo is the trails map, you can do a 3.5 mile or so outer loop, or cut across on the inner loops to make it longer or shorter. I thought this place was a great resource right off the interstate. I'll stop here again to hike the dog, take in some nature and get out of the for a bit."

Regardless of why we come here does Riverside provide a lot more than the eye can see when we come to the park we all have different reasons some come to Cruise some enjoy volleyball some come to take the kids to the park some for therapy or yoga baseball walking feeding the animals as long as it’s something that’s within their diet. Going to the swimming pool taking a run in a one of our many trails going and exploring and looking for wildlife maybe just want to read a book may be a picnic with your family or yourself enjoying music in your car while watching the weather. or just curious to visit this park? It has a ton of history around it and a lot of entertaining things while roaming the area I have left some of my images down below and that is also another great reason that you could come to the park is it has a law of great opportunities for family photos or tourism opportunities. Please come check out the Riverside park if you’re ever coming off the exit or just looking for something new to do please stop by and welcome to Ft Morgan and also if you feed the animals, please be aware that they are super sweet and it takes time to have them trust you so please do not harass or taunt them. Thank you for supporting Colorado parks.💛💙🧡❤️
Trail walking and running on my favorite nature trail. This 2.5 mile loop is along the East Platte River on the north side of Fort Morgan. It has numerous switchbacks to add mileage as well as a remarkable rainbow bridge. The trail is well maintained gravel and is kept tidy. Fishing is available in the many ponds toward the east, and it boasts one of the best frisbee golf courses in the US.
the park itself is beautiful. it is also huge with ponds, in line skating area, swimming pool, ducks and geese. the wild hiking trails are nice, though signage is inadequate, we got lost and ended up walking in circles for 3 hours. there is no drinkable water on the trails, there are picnic tables but no trash cans. dogs must be on leash at all times!
Awesome park to stop at with kids and pets. A smelly small pond, playground, and covered tables to eat and snack.
