Explore family camping activities that bring all ages together, from outdoor games and scenic hikes to memorable campfire fun that creates lasting memories.
For Nebraska residents seeking an outstanding combination of full-service RV amenities and vibrant park recreation, the **Riverside Park Campground** in Beatrice stands out as a top-tier municipal destination. Located directly along the picturesque **Big Blue River**, this campground is lauded by local users for its pristine condition and excellent facilities. It offers the rare benefit of **full hookups** (electric, water, and sewer) at an affordable rate, making it a highly practical and enjoyable choice for RV travelers and families.
The core appeal of Riverside Park is its quality over quantity. The campground features a limited number of sites—specifically **8 concrete pads**—which ensures a more intimate and less crowded camping experience. This small size, while making availability a challenge, is key to maintaining a high standard. As one satisfied customer noted: "An outstanding spot to camp! Sadly with only 8 spots... getting one can be a challenge." The city's management policy is also geared towards fairness, with a **maximum 7-day stay limit**, ensuring the park is "NOT over ran with long term residents," and spots frequently become available. This commitment to turnover means the facility remains fresh and welcoming to the continuous stream of local travelers. From the playgrounds to the showers, all facilities are consistently described as being in **"top condition."**
It is an ideal location for a restful stopover, a weekend dedicated to outdoor activity, or a base for exploring the historical sites around Beatrice, including the nearby Homestead National Historical Park.

Accessibility to the campground sites is excellent, featuring **concrete pads** that are 16' x 60', suitable for large rigs (though sites are back-in only, not pull-thru). A significant highlight of its location is the fact that the **hike/bike trail follows the Big Blue River** directly through the park. Campers are granted "easy access to bike path," which encourages walking, running, and cycling, connecting the campground to the wider Beatrice trail system. The nearby Big Blue River also offers opportunities for river fishing, enhancing the overall recreational value of the location.

The park has a lot to do, basketball courts, playgrounds, and camper trailer parking. I hiked up to the Veterans Memorial and back. Went 4.8 mi 1 h 26 m. Very well kept trail. The trail follows the Big Blue River. It was very peaceful along the way.
An outstanding spot to camp! Sadly with only 8 spots … getting one can be a challenge. With a 14 day limit the park is NOT over ran with long term residents. All the facilities from the playground to the showers were in top condition. This SPOT also provided easy access to bike path.
You can go camping with a tent...but without your car. The sign at the entrance was very misleading: There were no designated sites specifically for tent camping (not even the nonexistent "tent pads" they keep claiming about). There were no parking spaces for these "tent pads," nowhere to actually set up a tent. But they expect you to pay $5.00 a night per tent for camping sites that aren't designated sites, $20.00 a night per tent for the "tent pads." Nice try.
Very nice reasonably priced campground with full hookups for $20 a night. A really great deal. Has clean restooms and showers too. Also has multiple playgrounds and ball fields.
What a wonderful campground! This is a destination and not just a stopover. We came for one night and will stay for at least three. Beautiful park and trails. Concrete pads and full hookups all for $20.
