As a categorized platform for Campgrounds & RV Parks, Riverside Recreation Site offers an accessible outdoor experience for individuals and families seeking a connection with nature.
Environment: Situated close to the stunning Chilliwack Lake, the campground provides a natural and scenic environment for your stay. According to visitor reviews, the area eastward along the Trans Canada Trail, easily accessible from the campsite, is particularly beautiful. This offers opportunities for picturesque walks and exploration of the local landscape.
Services: The campground offers basic amenities to support your camping needs. While specific details on all services are limited, reviews mention the availability of toilets. It's noted that the host makes an effort to maintain cleanliness, though conditions can become challenging at times. The cost is reported to be $17 per car per night, offering an affordable option for local campers.
Features: A key feature of the Riverside Recreation Site is its proximity to the Trans Canada Trail. Campers can easily access a beautiful section of the trail by walking past the campsite, over a bridge, and immediately turning left. This provides a fantastic opportunity for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. The campground also offers good accessibility from the main road, making it convenient to reach.
Important Considerations: Based on user feedback, it's important for local users to be aware of a few factors. In the spring, the trail can be very muddy, so appropriate footwear is recommended. Additionally, the access road is shared with logging companies, and a nearby logging road that was recently upgraded now experiences increased traffic. Campers should exercise caution when parking and be mindful of vehicle movements in the area.

A few kilometer stretch of Trans Canada Trail from this point eastward is very beautiful. You need to walk past the camp, over the bridge and immediately left, that will get you on the trail. In spring, it can be very muddy. Be careful where you leave your car. The access road is used by logging companies. The logging road leading further south was upgraded two years ago (before, it was impassable by car). So there is more traffic now.
Awesome place for camping close to chilliwack lake. Good accessibility from the road. Dollar 17 per car per night. Toilet are just manageable, the host makes a good effort to keep it clean, but it does gets messy and stinky. Otherwise it's an awesome place for a night camping.
