I would give this five stars or four stars depending on what your expectations are. The camp spot and campground in my opinion were amazing because of the tree coverage, the small community feel, and the people there. The camp host, Denise, is so friendly and amazing, she even walked us to our campsite. She made us feel so welcome! It was easy to book and I think it’s a reasonable price for what you get. We got water and electric and that’s all we needed because there were bathrooms on site. The bathrooms were not my favorite and could be updated, but I know they are trying their hardest to keep it as clean as they could with all the traffic. My son and I also enjoyed the walk to the bathhouse daily, by two ponds and over a bridge in up some cool steps surrounded by bamboo. And then when you get to the top there’s the beautiful mountain peaks .The campground is close to a bike trail that you can take about 10 to 15 minutes into the town of Salida or then you can get on the river and play all day. I will be going back to this campsite.
Nice and relaxing place to feel like your out csmping but have the convenience of being in town. Great fishing steps away..
Electricity and water worked, sites are not well maintained but kind of leveled. Close to groceries, food and gas. No dump station, pricey, quiet, and great for one night on your way somewhere. You can pay $10 dollars for a mobile dump station if staying less than 7 nights, free after. Several families and rest of the guests were really friendly. Close to the city of Salida with great shopping and restaurants.
Super friendly host and beautiful trees and river. The showers and bathrooms need a lot of work. The river is right out the back of our RV and there are some rapids there so it's really noisy here in early June. Other sites weren't nearly as noisy but we don't mind. There are no sewer hookups but there is an option to dump.
We have stayed at Riverside RV Park for several years and always enjoy our stay. Its close to town but you still feel like you are camping in country. Spot #18 is our favorite because its so big. Denise is the best camp host! We will be back.
