Customer Reviews
We enjoyed our stay at this CCC built state park. Sites one through 18 are on the river and much more spacious and have full utilities. We enjoyed the beauty of the Spokane River, walking across the suspension bridge and hiking the trails. The mosquitoes on the trail were very present, but in the campground we saw very few. There are flush toilets and warm showers. TMobile cell service was surprisingly slow given our proximity to Spokane. We did not have reservations beforehand and got the last space available on a Monday, Advise reservations. I rated the campground at four because of it’s expense and because the sites on the upper loop are a little tight.
Wonderful trail network in Spokane. The trails offer a plethora of outdoor activity access including; mountain biking, hiking, running, walking and nature viewing. Dogs are allowed on leash. The mosquitoes were a bit voracious but, just wear bug spray or cover up. There is access to the Spokane river which is nice for a quick cool down. A discovery pass is required for parking. You can also purchase a day pass at the trailhead. Ample parking, toilets at the parking area, and day use picnic areas.
Had a great time camping here, spot was very dusty, and had decent amount of hornets, but still had a great time, hiking was good, beautiful spots down by the river to relax at and explore.
Beautiful park with well maintained trails. The bridge is easy to access from multiple parking lots. Be careful where you are walking. We headed down to the waters edge and, unfortunately, found used needles on the ground.
A beautiful bit of nature that's just a few miles away from Spokane. Trails are well maintained, the rocks and water are truly something to behold.
