We had a relaxing weekend. Check in was simple. All communication was done over email with all of our questions answered. Pets were welcome (bring rabies numbers). The bathrooms were cute and clean and the showers were hot. There is a volleyball net, basketball (balls included), swings, and sitting toys. The stairs and docks are quite run down and in need of repair but they worked fine for our kayaks. We spent most of our days on the beautiful creek full of wildlife. My husband and sons caught many fish. The sites were a nice size but some of the picnic tables were broken and the people before us left their plastic trash in the fire ring. The other campers were respectful and quiet after hours. All in all it is a great little campground that is just right where it mattered! We will definitely be coming back.
Although I haven’t been in years, my brother and I spent summers growing up here through the late 90s into the 2000s with our Oma and papa. This campground is the true nature of getting back to basics. Seeing people complain that there isn’t more “glamping” amenities is so backwards cause isn’t that the point of camping? To get away from the concrete jungle life and into nature? Now that I’m a Texan and an adult, I truly miss “the camp”. Thanks for keeping her going, yall! Great campground to let the good times roll !
This is an old campground, somewhat rundown with some abandoned camp grounds. There aren't the amenities of a store, pool or activities. However, it did have good location, access to the creek, it was quiet and the other campers were friendly and helpful. Also, has a small playground. The price is right for having the remnants of time past and not up to date renovations. We had a very nice stay!
I wouldn't consider camping anywhere eles. The campground is so well maintained from the bathroom facilities to the campsites everything has been great. The location on the river is unbeatable and have done extremely well fishing. Great people wonderful place and the atmosphere is exactly what camping should be.
