I give this place 3 stars because it's still new and a bit sketchy to be honest. There are some long term residents there, very friendly folk, talkative. The sites are very narrow, gravel, back in, FHU. There's not much to the place but looks like they are slowly working to improve it. It was a bit noisy from the traffic close by but not horrible. It has no restrooms or showers or laundry. It's basically just a place for FHU overnight, there's also a Walmart down the road that would have worked to boondock had I known. It was really just the "neighboring" events that made me feel uneasy. I'd like to see this place in a few years/seasons, it could be a great place if some improvements/ growth is made. Stayed in a 28' Class C for one night. UPDATE: in response to owner, we stayed just a few days ago, & you are correct, I did receive a restroom code via email, thank you, I did not visit the "maroon door" restroom so I am not able to comment, however, am adding a star due to owner customer service and error on my part. As for the neighbors, they were friendly, yes, very much so.
Sandy was very helpful and understanding given I was new to living in a camper at an rv site. Rent is decent and they now have comfortable public bathrooms with showers. Wifi can be spotty at the farther spots but that's to be expected. They also maintained the grounds well and mowed regularly so the grass and plants were never too tall on near any spot. If my camper hadn't started falling apart, I would have stayed.
We were looking for some place to land for the night with full hook ups and convenient to I-76 as we were traveling to Denver. We found this little gem that is no frills at the moment because they are still developing it but you can’t beat the hospitality of Sandi and the price. Nice overnight stay conveniently located to a Walmart for a few supplies!! Sterling has a lot of businesses just past the park on Main Street!! Would definitely stop again!! Happy 1 year Anniversary to the park!!
I've stayed here when it first opened last year and again this year. The park was great already and now it's 100 percent better. Bathrooms are being built and look very fancy same with the office. And speaking of office the owners are just really great people. I will be staying here over and over again.
The owner is amazingly nice and supportive of all your needs and helps with everything she can. It's gravel and plain and spaced out your not on top of your neighbor which is fantastic room for kids to run around a river walking distance away with sand. Over all a very pleasant calm environment with kind people no complaints.
