The Spice Bush Trail is not stroller or wheelchair accessible. There is limited parking at this trail head. This trail is a loop, which is nice. The path is clearly marked with yellow reflective squares on trees. The trail appears to be very well maintained. The trail is easy for kids to walk along. Hubby and I did it twice on this unseasonally warm day of 63°F in December. There were a few logs on the path that our dog had a little trouble getting over due to her age.

Nice and quiet state park experience. I visited this state park today for the first time with plans of hiking the Lost Hill trail. Upon embarking up the trail it splits into two directions as it’s a loop trail. The trail was nice with little elevation and is also a good spot to go running. It was quiet and I never saw another person the entire time. Definitely recommend! There is also a 1 mile loop trail across from the Lost Hill parking lot.

We hiked the Spice Bush Trail and found it well-maintained. The woods are shady and we saw lots of interesting mushrooms when we visited in July. For some reason the park map doesn't show the Lost Hill Trail. They have it marked on a big map that's posted on the side of the main building. The trailhead is pretty much across the road from the trailhead to the Spice Bush Trail.

The campsites are spread out and the campground is not crowded. They have shower, they are not the cleanest but they are decent. Bathrooms are relatively clean and there are bathrooms on both ends of the loop. There was plenty of clean water available. We camped with a tent and in a shaded site (#2). The site was nice and the tent area had a slight grade for water runoff. There was not a tent pad just the ground, and there were a few very small rocks and roots in the area. It was not really a big issue with a tarp laid down. I would have rated it a 4 star but there was one big issue especially for tent campers. I don't know about the opposite side of the loop but at Site #2 there was a lot of noise coming from the highway even until 2AM. It seemed that everyone in the area owned a LOUD motorcycle or removed the muffler from their truck/car. I believe the traffic noise was from Highway- O. If you have a RV it would probably not be an issue and I cant speak to the other side of the loop since it is on the other side of the hill. They have tent sites that have tent pads that are on balconies/wood platforms, built into the side of the hill which look out into the forest. Those may be interesting to camp at. Overall while it was a nice well maintained campground, but I would not return, tent camping, due to the traffic noise that ran well into the early AM hours.
