I have spent many times in this beautiful resort. I even had my wedding there. Have referred it many times , to all sorts of people. I had a gift certificate for a weekend there, went to book it, I was told they would not do anything because the resort had been sold. That was it. I understand that the previous owners got that money, I didn't realize, no one got a hold of me, to tell me it was no longer valid . The value was $550.00. I no longer will recommend your resort & no longer stay there.
Camped at the Resort for two nights. Nice little sites down by the lake. Only 6 tent sites, so not crowded and fairly quiet. Lots of water fowl around. Pool and hot tub are nice. Staff is super friendly. Some big fish in the lake, but you have to work at it to catch them. Would definitely go back.
Overpriced The resort is located in a beautiful area, the atmosphere was great. It was family friendly, staff was polite, fishing was great. The booking was very complicated with numerous phone calls and emails forth and back and double charges on our deposit. But what truly left a negative mark was how expensive the stay way. For a 2 night stay in July, we paid close to 500 dollars, renting a cabin (#6a). These cabins are older, rustic and alas, provide a bare minimum. The water quality, for instance, is very concerning as it is lake water that comes out of the drain. You can shower, perhaps, in it but not cook. Especially not if you bring young kids. It also have a strong odor. We also had bats in the cabin, with bat poo on the floor. The equipment is also very very basic. Cheap coffeemaker, dollar store cooking utensils (bent knives), numerous missing items (no lids for the pots for instance). Also annoying was the fact that we had planned to BBQ. A basic grill was provided, but no propane gas! What place that charges $210 a night plus tax does not provide gas, in the middle of nowhere. Anyways, long story short - I think rates charged and service provided are at odds.
