In mid-June 2024, I stayed at campsite 12, which turned out to be a spacious, well-kept, and shaded campsite. Looking at the site, you could fit three tents and still have room to wonder. Since it was early summer, it was a little windy. It got chilly at night, so I highly recommend bringing many blankets. Oh, be sure to bring your fishing poles and kayak when camping! There's a path that leads up to both the lake and to the bathrooms right off the site. This was a bonus. Fifteen minutes down the road is a small town which has a general store that has everything you need and then some. Whether it's a bundle of wood, a gallon of milk, or a tent repair kit, it's a nice feature when camping and you urgently need something. Cell service was a little spotty, but the cell reception would come and go, which was okay.
New concession operator doesn't accept America the beautiful senior pass! I've always been able to use my pass in the day use area, now it costs me 10.00! I am 70 years old have always lived in Oregon, and use my pass in all national forest campgrounds, day use areas, and boat ramps. I have been camping and fishing at Rock creek for years. Won't be going back! How can a concession operator decide which federal passes are acceptable
Great host and nice bathrooms for valt toilets. One for men and one for women. We were impressed that there are lights inside.
My family stays at Rockcreek Campground both deer and elk season. Good time had by all.
A wonderful place to live many adventures in the company of your whole family and enjoy fishing with a great variety of fish and some beautiful sunsets. Its bathrooms are very clean and it has water in a tap near your camping house. I recommend it.
