Had a great time relaxing on the river with the family! Will definitely come back.
Not as much room as I thought there’d be and it gets pretty crowded, but it beats the summer heat to dip your feet in some nice water sometimes.
We evacuated to New Braunsfel from the Beaumont area due to Hurricane Laura. We had so much fun in new Braunsfel, but I have to say, this place was such a highlight. We came here in the late afternoons to just sit in the water and let our youngest play. If you want a nice quiet location to hang out in the water, this is the place. The owner was so kind to give us a huge discount too since we evacuated and only came for the late afternoon. Thanks so much Double Rockin R Camp!
I’m giving this place a one star because it is a great place by the river. But the staff is ALWAYS changing the price on us we have gone several times to give them the benefit of the doubt but yet it’s a different price every time then when we tell them about the price change they have nothing to say except that’s what the price is for today. When we call to reserve as they have told us before that we could do, then they say they don’t take reservations. We love going here but they are not honest on their pricing.
So we were going to meet family here that were camping so we could float the river together and they said I had to pay $40 to enter on top of floating costs and that they are running a business not a charity. I understand paying a day pass or something but not the camp fee just to enter and visit for a couple hours before our float trip. I’m disappointed we drove 4 hours to be told this. Maybe they should look how texas parks and wildlife does their day passes for those who aren’t camping and put a better system in place. And the ladies were rude when I said you guys are going to get a poor google review from me she said google reviews don’t matter to us we make money regardless. Total arrogance on their part
Gorgeous part of the Guadalupe. You have to pay 25.00 per person. Whether you use the shuttle service or not. You have to sign a waiver. Our group had to wait 45 minutes for a shuttle.
We paid for our group of 10 and we were the last couple to show up with our toddler. But were told that our 2 year old cant come in. the rest of the group had only been there for 30 minutes before us. We had asked for a refund and they said no, they can't do that. It didn't say on the page that no one under 6 wasn't allowed.
