Very well maintained campground that has plenty of amenities and in a great setting.
Nice campground with a fantastic camp store. Campsites we a little to close together. As always could use more full hookup sites.
I love that the sites are very well spaced apart and you’re not packed in like sardines. I love that they have many full hookup sites. This is very uncommon for Ohio State Parks, normally all you get is an electric hookup. The Upper Camp area could use having some dirt brought in to level out the low spots as it can get very soupy when it rains (with an average rain event in July). Shower houses and laundry facilities really need some updates, but usable and clean.
We really like the lower campground here. Many sites have full hookups. It’s really nice that the sites have ample spacing and there are large fields. Recent additions include a whiffle ball field and a pickleball court (paddles available at the office), though the court is a bit rough. Expect to return next year again.
We camp here often and are here now. A man named Josh is here from a nature center. I would love to see one at Rocky Fork camp ground. All the kids were coming up to see the snake he had. He was so knowledgeable and answering all the questions kids were asking, as well as adults. It was really nice to see this and the curiosity of kids, who were able to learn as well. Please consider adding a nature center. Thank you!
