We go camping and hiking at least twice a year. Super excited that they opened up more of their camping loops to pet friendly. This past trip we hiked their new trail, short cut trail. Wonderful addition to their trail system.
Stunning!! One of the most beautiful state parks I’ve been in MD , it has a beautiful lake side trail with ample picnic areas and campgrounds. The park is very well maintained and fall is splendid here!!
My first ever camping trip was a success. The camp site was good after we found out whe re our tent was supposed to be. The views were breathe taking, and the restroom/shower area was very clean. They also have a casino and walmart nearby. I would recommend this camp site. My only negative is the ranger that addressed us about our tent being in the wrong area was not friendly or nice about. I didn't let him mess up my 1st camping trip, though.
It's not Vegas, Reno, nor A.C., but that's the beauty of it. Scenic area with lots of beauty. The range looks scenic right off the lake. Get some boating in after followed by the pool, then jacuzzi. Relaxing space. Oh yeah, and shout out to the bartender that tried to snitch that I had the munchies. No, I wasn't paying $13 for a prison lunchmeat sandwich just because I'm at a resort and you want to close your kitchen early. Yes, you called it, but I met Door Dash in the parking lot, though. Nice try though, here are 4 stars and some za for your efforts. I'll be back and we can play again.
Excellent place to camp. Clean bathhouses with hot water. We do not like the new no entry before 3pm policy, especially because the campsites would be vacant well before that time. The Ironwood def has the best campsites and the lake is right there as well.
