Excellent campgrounds and well maintained. Should you want to boondock camping, and pay $0.00, you have many choices around the lake other than these improve S.Dakota park sites.
Beautiful, peaceful campground. Spacious sites, and when we were there late in the season, very few people were around. My issue comes with the bathrooms... Normal state park campground bathroom, but it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in forever. Pretty sure I don't even want to know what was on the floor in the one stall. Great place, but the restrooms really need some TLC.
The RV #52e is where we stayed. It has a great view and there's not a bad place in here. The pads are gravel and spacious. There's loads of stuff to do here including a huge dog park. Check out is at 4 which is a good perk. Just electric at all states parks. The lake is gorgeous and wished we were staying longer than a day. Definitely coming back.....
CAMPERS BEWARE CAMPING AT ROCKY POINT Rocky point campground I used to think was a great place to camp even though it's hard to sometimes get a reservation. The last two weeks there has been coolers of beer stolen. I know this because last night I was one of the statics. It seems that the State of South Dakota is only concerned with trying find something wrong with your boat or making sure you have a park pass. Maybe they should look after the safety and welfare more BEFORE SOMETHING REALLY HAPPENS
Real nice place, potable water/ dump station best I've seen, whole park was recently repaved, nice JOB!
It's a beautiful camping spot with quality shore fishing. The cabin was clean and spacious.
