Rondees Campground Introduce

đźš— **Introduction / Overview: A Practical and Well-Equipped Stop in Mitchell**

For South Dakota travelers navigating Interstate 90 or planning an extended stay in the Mitchell area, **Rondees Campground** offers a highly practical, full-service camping solution. Located right off the Interstate, this park is designed to cater efficiently to both transient travelers needing a **"quick stop"** and those requiring an **"extended stay"**—a flexibility that is highly valued by local users, including those staying for a month or more.

Rondees is integrated with a nearby motel (often a Days Inn or Super 8, where check-in is conducted), which allows it to offer a blend of traditional campground utilities with more modern lodging conveniences. It provides over **50 campsites** suitable for both RVs and tents. A key feature is the commitment to accommodating **"Big Rigs,"** with many sites being long, easy **pull-throughs** up to 70 feet in length, and equipped with comprehensive hookups. While described as a **"Basic campground,"** its functional amenities, convenient access, and surprisingly **quiet** atmosphere—preferred over "more crowded Campgrounds in town" by one user—make it a reliable choice.

The management and employees are frequently praised by guests for being **"very kind and helpful,"** providing a professional and welcoming atmosphere. For the South Dakota traveler, Rondees is the efficient, centrally-located basecamp providing the essential services needed to relax and explore the famous attractions of Mitchell, particularly the World's Only Corn Palace.

Great park for a quick stop or an extended stay. We stayed about a month. The laundry room had better prices than the laundry mat in town, had AC and was clean. Basic campground but quiet for the most part, which we really prefer over the other more crowded Campgrounds in town. Management and employees were all very kind and helpful. Walking distance to two different coffee shops, which was nice.

Quick jaunt from the interstate, laundry only 3.00/load (1.50 wash, 1.50 dry) and laundry open until 10. It's run out of the back of the motel, so the check in process was quick and very professional. Tent camping was $15. My only concern was that the tents butted up against a parking lot, so there were some lights that shone into our tent- however, it made us feel very safe. They do now accept all discount cards!

Been staying at Rondees campground for close to 20 years. The owners and staff are the friendliest and most accommodating people we’ve met while traveling. Best campground in the state of South Dakota… 10/10…

My kind of park. I don't need all the resort stuff just the basic full hookup, because I don't want to pay for things I won't use. As for the dips in road coming into park Norway entrance has a slight bigger dip than K ave, but both are manageable crossing at a angle. I would stay here again.
