Customer Reviews
Great communication with the staff - they were extremely responsive when I had a question or concern regarding our coming to the area days after hurricane Helene's destruction to the areas east of Franklin. We were concerned about being able to get from place to place (I attended a workshop in Highlands and would travel daily) and if our presence would consume resources that the community required. Shelby was very informative and assured us we would be welcome. When we arrived we were able to find a campsite (other than the one we booked) that was more to our liking, all it required was a quick call and we were accommodated! Excellent service. Mr. Jerry, the campsite host, was wonderfully helpful, cheerful and kind (especially when I accidentally locked us out of the camper :/ and suggested a locksmith he had used in the past.) In a different reviewer's comments, they stated that the bathhouse was very dirty - I was there when Mr. Jerry came by to check on things and he asked me if everything was alright, I had no issues with the state of the bathhouse - after all, it's CAMPING, people, not the Ritz. That said, I would return in a heartbeat, great people, beautiful location and the quietest, darkest campground we've experienced. We even experienced the Aurora Borealis - a bucket list experience!
Every time we come to Rose Creek Campground we enjoy ourselves. We’ve tent camped here and then when we got an RV we’ve come back several times. I love feeling like I’m in the woods and not right next to a highway. They have an inground pool, little playground, dog park, big grassy area to play and run around, a fishing pond…and Jerry, the best host you could ever ask for! He was so kind and took care of us so well! Rose Creek is only a few minutes from downtown Franklin so it’s easy to go there but you feel off the main road enough that you can enjoy the sounds of nature.
The Owner was very accommodating in allowing us to change to a more premium lot at no charge. Natural setting but not any notable views. It went south when I saw the bathhouse. Very dirty. When I brought to their attention and all they did was sweep out leaves. Also we left 3 days early because of Hurricane Milton. I never received a response from the owner wishing us safe travels and good luck. I didn't request any refund because I knew the policy. But we are at risk to suffer damage by the storm. Where the concern for a customer.
I'm staying in a travel trailer and have nothing but positive things to say. Clean, quiet, the campground host is absolutely fantastic. They have a fenced in dog park, a pool, a shelter with picnic tables and cornhole boards/bags. Very well kept campground. I'll definitely be back!
It would have been a decent stay if it wasn’t for the owner having trees taken down for her own house right next to our tent. It literally sounded like they were about to fall on us, it was extremely loud and it continued throughout the entire last 2 days of our trip till after 7pm. I asked the lady when it would hopefully end, and she even mentioned that “she was biting her tongue” when the trees closest to our tent fell “waiting for a call” from us. The lady told them to cut further back, but other than that, she didn’t do anything to help, just said they should be done soon and they’ll be cutting tomorrow too. My husband and I ended up getting a different place to stay for the last night luckily. On a positive note, they do offer delivery of Ice and Firewood which I thought was super cool. Would I recommend? No Would I stay again? If I absolutely had to
