Scenery is unlike anywhere else, absolutely gorgeous!! Camp host was such a great guy! Chatted for awhile, knowledgeable of the area, helped me out a lot! Would recommend this park to anyone driving through!
Convenient location and only $20 are the good things (I liked seeing the hogback snake at the riverbank but my wife did not). But it is near a busy road so noisy all night, no soap in dispensers, no hot water, no showers, and toilet overflowing with host not doing much about it.
I was traveling and doing car/tent camping. Management was fantastic. Excellent location. You feel like you are in the National Park. Huge trees in your camp site. It is next to the river annd peaceful. Best part is it has easy access to Redwood. Friendly people, great location, clean and inexpensive. I will be coming back.
Parks a nice spot if a little close to the highway but the camp host is very weird. I dont want to hang out with you dude and you cannot have a drink
Pros- clean restrooms no showers, clean gcamp ground host stopped by and said hi and seemed polite and nice. Beautiful water nearby . $20 a night isn’t bad especially for the area. And when we went we were the only ones camped there so it was very quiet. Cons- very small campground. Not a lot of sites, uneven ground. Not clear indicators of who’s site is who’s. Not good for small campers/ motorhomes unless you park on the parking lot and use the tables ment for the tent areas.
