We got our membership with several other families. We were told we could call and reserve a group of 3 spots together if we were all to purchase a membership. They honored this for years and all of a sudden they can't seem to make it work. They offer 3 spots in three different locations on the campground. They have gone from excellent customer service to a "just deal with it" approach to members. It looks like they are trying to cater to those renting spots for the whole summer rather than their loyal members. So disappointed with the new set up....
A great location to vacation and visit the black hills of South Dakota, Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer state park, and many more attractions in the area. That staff and team at Rushnmore Shadows has been great and super helpful. Deb H. went out of her way to help us with a scheduling issue. Such a good person...
I just had a really unpleasant experience with the manager here! I made a reservation 2 months from now and I won’t be able to make it. I called to cancel and the lady that answered was really nice about it and made sure everything is good. Then I received a call from the nice lady saying that they can’t refund me because in my cancellation policy says something about cancellations after June 1 for Sturgis bike week or something like that are nonrefundable. I went ahead and looked at my confirmation email to make sure I didn’t miss this information and sure enough. My email didn’t have the details here. I took a screenshot and I sent it to show them that the information she is saying is not in my confirmation email and that I would like my money back since a canceling accordingly. The manager said that she will not refund me my money and that she doesn’t care if my email said otherwise. Then she proceeds to hang up on me and block my number so I can contact them anymore. So here, I am leaving a review, thing that I never do because I support local businesses, But in this case, it was completely necessary.
Lovely RV park with lots of grass areas, surrounded by trees. Showers were clean and roomy, great water pressure. Large dog run. Really nice place to stay, we'd definitely stay here again.
This place is an absolute scam. Resort is beautiful and wonderful to stay at. However, they con you into memberships that allow monthly payment to stay at their other resorts and don’t fill you in on the terms the additional $1200 they will take on here and $1000 they tack on here. Impossible to cancel. Not even worth the hassle of staying at any of these resorts. So disappointed in the scam they sell.
