Rustic Timbers Door County Camping, LLC

Great campground in the middle of it all. We stayed in one of the cabins. Close enough to the showers/ bathrooms. Great amenities in the shop. It's pretty quiet this time of year. Can't wait to come back in the summer. Thank you for a fantastic getaway!

Stayed the weekend in late Oct with adult children. Facilities were well maintained. Restrooms are top tier. Hats off to Rustic Timbers to having the GaGa Ball Court and Air Pillowing functioning this late in season. We all acted like kids with those attractions and had a great time. Nice wooded sites throughout.

Easy to get to / easy access to Egg Harbor / Bailey's Harbor. Very spacious sites (which for a 40' long camper is important, we've stayed at some places where our truck has to park in the road due to tighter sites). Campgrounds are neat. They have good (generous) pool hours. Pool area is kept clean. Our kids love the small ice cream shop in the office. A little pricey, but I think this is normal for Door County (other places in Door County appear to start lower, but then try to charge you extra for kids, dogs, etc.)....Only issue which we noticed both times we stayed (2023 & 2024) is the water (at the camp sites) smells a bit like egg farts, so don't assume your dog or your kid has bad gas when you turn the water on :).

Absolutely disappointed & disgusted with this campground. We plan all of our camping trips at the beginning of the year to ensure we can obtain the campgrounds and sites well enough in advance. We selected a campground we have not been to yet, in hopes to have a fun new experience with our children in a city we have not visited before. We purchased our 2-night weekend stay at a specific site via their website and confirmed with a follow up receipt from Rustic Timbers. This receipt only states the dates we reserved, the site number we selected and our credit card information. This specific site was selected 9 months in advance and was done with intentions to be near the amenities offered for our 3 small children (pool, jumping pillow, playground, etc). With only a 24-hour notice, our site was changed to another site on the opposite site of the grounds and entirely away from what had originally selected. Upon calling the campground and asking why it was changed, it was a response of "too bad, so sad; you're getting something equivalent". The adjusted confirmation from Rustic Timbers was also made within their 2-week cancelation policy. We are left with no choice but to take their bait and switch tactic into the campground or lose out on the money we paid 9 months ago. When also discussing this situation with management, it was also stated “well it’s a holiday weekend, so you’re lucky we didn’t charge you an extra night for the 3-night minimum it should have been.” A minimum that was NOT on their website when we booked because the calendar was opened before they were truly ready to receive reservations. The management of this entire situation is what gives the smaller campgrounds a bad reputation because they cannot hold to their word and side of an agreement. And if this was an owner of the campground who handled it so terribly, I wouldn’t want to set foot on your property for fear of retaliation or retribution. I should have read the past reviews of the staff being very rude and horrible customer service; we would have given our money to someone else more deserving.

Beautiful place that is exceptionally clean everywhere. Endless fun for adults and families. I love all the planned events and band. Everyone I met so nice. Wish I could stay the entire summer.
