Great equestrian focused campground/rv park. Best approach from route 80, then down white oak rd. Owners are great and the park is new. They are building their own trails but are next to the national park so there plenty of riding areas.
This is a campground so there are no rooms. However, you can ask for a camper rental which is a great idea. The host is very accommodating and even set up a guide for me and my friend.
We stopped here at the halfway point on our trip from Ohio to Georgia and SO glad we did. I found this hidden gem looking at campgrounds on Apple Maps and now have this spot added to top 5 places we've stayed in our Skoolie with plans to return. We ended up being the only folks there that night and it was so quiet and peaceful. The stars were showing off and the owner gave us a free bucket of wood for a fire. The bathrooms are huge and clean! Apparently there had been a large horse event the night before and you couldn't even tell. The campground and surrounding area was so clean and well kept I never would have guessed. The owner & staff were so kind. They took us on a tour of the property and showed us all the plans they had to make this spot even better. wow. Would definitely recommend!
Super clean campground with stalls for horses and an awesome rustic playground that you can swing on porch swings while your kids play! Very friendly owners as well!
The food is amazing, their service is better than any restaurant and the atmosphere makes it feel like home.
