Set against the picturesque landscape of New Mexico, RV Park Archuleta offers a serene camping experience with essential facilities like RV hookups and convenient access to the river. The park provides a tranquil setting for nature enthusiasts, blending natural beauty with basic comforts.

  • Scenic Location: Nestled near the river, the park attracts visitors seeking a peaceful retreat surrounded by stunning natural views.
  • Amenities: Features include RV hookups and convenient access to the river for recreation.

While the park's location is undeniably appealing, guests have shared mixed experiences with management. Reports highlight instances of unclear communication regarding rules and a lack of courteous interaction.

RV Park Archuleta remains a visually stunning location, yet guests are advised to weigh both the natural beauty and potential management challenges before planning their stay.

Such a beautiful place. As many others have mentioned, there are a TON of rules. Most of the rules are understandable, some aren’t great for a camp spot. The problem is the way guests are spoken to and treated. We read that burners and grills had to be 12” off the ground so we assumed that applied to our propane fire pit. A man pulled up and without as much as a friendly greeting and rudely yelled to us from his truck window “you better put that fire pit away. You know better. Put the fire pit away or Gloria will make you leave”. If he would have kindly clarified that the statement about burners and grills didn’t apply to our propane fire pit there would have been no issue. But he was so rude and disrespectful. Truly made all of us consider not saying here again. So unfortunate that the beauty of the property doesn’t match the beauty of the management.

This is beautiful grassy place to camp along the river. However, Its not worth dealing with ownership of this place. Gloria and I confirmed my reservation for 7/5-7/7 via text prior to arrival. Others from our group also camping there made me aware of people camping in the two spots we reserved, I called Gloria and she very rudely stated "I rented the spots because you never showed up" I then sent her our text thread confirming the dates. The response was "I'll put you in 23 two should fit fine there" no apology just take it or leave it and if we weren't already there I would have left it. Again, Beautiful place but not worth headache of everything you will deal with here trust me! Stay elsewhere!

Very nice small, privately owned RV park in northern New Mexico. Right on the banks of the beautiful San Juan river. The land has been in the Archuleta family for at least 3 generations and it shows, the place is clean and beautiful. The owner / operator, Gloria, has strict rules about certain things like no parking on the grass. Rightfully so. Makes sense to me. That's the way I would run it if I owned it. Pride of land ownership that is generations deep. I love this place.

I do not recommend Archuleta RV Park in New Mexico close to Navajo Lake. The owners are very rude. There are no fires, no charcoal grills, no rugs on the grass, no parking your tow vehicles on the grass, no walking your dogs on the grass. You can use a propane grill but you can’t use a propane fire pit ? Our neighbor had a propane fire pit going the first night we were there so we used ours the second night assuming it was ok since it was propane and the owners brother drove by on his 4 wheeler and yelled “put that out or leave “ although he hadn’t said anything to the other campers about theirs!! If he had spoken to us like a decent human being and just asked us to turn it off it would have been no problem. One of our party got into camp real late and missed the rule of no rugs on the grass so they had their rug and chairs set up and the owner came into their camp and threw their chairs off the rug and started pulling up the rug😡 all she had to do was knock on their camper and ask them to take it up and it would have been no problem. A little human decency goes a long way. She kicked another camper out for his tow vehicle on the grass instead of just asking him to move it. If she kicks you out you do not get a refund. It really is a shame they have to treat people like that because the park is very nice and right on the river but we certainly will not give her any business or recommendations.

This park is privately owned and the owner has her rules and if you dont want to abide by them then dont come!! There is plenty of campers who love it here and have no issues with the rules. It is a business Gloria works hard to make the park a nice place. No where else is there grass.
