Nicely maintained and well laid out campsite. Part of the campground (loop B) is closed until November 22 (2024). There are 2 vault toilets in the camping area and 1 by the picnic area. This is part of an off-road recreation area, so it's probably fairly noisy on the weekends. Do not use the 2002 access road into the area. Come in from the north access, and your vehicle will thank you.

Very secluded and the scenic views are awesome. It can get to be pretty muddy in spots after hard rains. Some of the trails were rutted up pretty bad with potholes . 4 wheels were better than 2 because of the rough terrain and larger rocks on some of the trails.

We Dry camped because of no amenities in an Rv (needs to be under 24 ') right after Memorial Day so it was empty and quiet the way we like it but this is more of a dirt bike and ATV park and all the trails are for them so it would be loud at a busy time. Loved campsite #10 and they have fire pits. Campground has 20 sites.one loop has 1-10 sites then another loop has 11 -20 . They do have vault toilets

Maintenance of the Sheltowee Trace has really went downhill in the past 25 years. It just breaks my heart after enjoying mountain biking there quite a lot in the 1990's. Also, the trails and access roads are poorly marked, if they are at all. It's very frustrating to look for trailheads that I know are there from the descriptions on the Daniel Boone Forest website.
