This place is awesome! The sites are spacious. There’s no water or electric so pack your own and be prepared to dry camp. There is a pit bathroom. There’s also a fishing pond in the middle of the site. There are 6 sites with wooden awnings over picnic tables. They go pretty fast. Theres other places you could camp but those are the best sites. There’s also additional camping grounds up the road. So thankful for this space. Please make sure you leave it better than you found it. 🏕️
Stayed here two nights in our 30 ft RV towing a jeep while visiting Great Basin NP July 1-3. We stayed in the upper loop where there are 3 back ins and one pull thru. No trouble getting a spot although on our second night most spots if not all, were taken in both loops. Absolutely wonderful. Great views of the mountains. Well maintained roads and easy access for our rig. Very well maintained campsites with nice covered picnic tables, fire rings and cement patios. There are dumpsters located at the lower loop. One of the nicest BLM campgrounds we have seen.
Great free campground. It is secluded and the spots are easy to get into and out of. There is a great little pond and some really good four Wheeling roads right from the campsite. It is first come first serve but I imagine it is rarely full. It is a quick ride to Great Basin National Park. There is no water or dump stations here but Borderline is not too far away and they have reasonable dump fees.
One of our favorite spots to camp when passing through the area. The vault toilets are some of the nicest we have seen. Picnic tables, fire rings, trash with large level sites. The sky at night has some extra stars that you can't see in other places. Not hook ups so you need to bring you water.
Nice, unexpected campsite. Right off HWY 50 so it's pretty convenient. Limited sites, 5 lower and maybe 3-4 upper. Road to upper is fine, easy dirt about 1 mi to upper sites. Nice sites up there. Looks like it's set up for horses so be advised. Dry camping but nice view with the pond there. Nice for a quick overnighter or a few day as I did. No internet, Verizon.
Free BLM campground that offers clean and level campsites. It’s dry camping with both dispersed sites and developed sites. Very clean, quiet and enjoyable. The vault toilets weren’t just clean, they were spotless. Kudos to the folks that stay here as well as the caretakers.
Lovely free camping spot outside of Big Basin. Clean bathrooms and nice picnic spots at each site.
Loved this BLM campground. Very quiet and peaceful. Very few vehicles pass on hwy 50 at night.
