We came after dark and it was easy to find and get into a space if you follow maps directions. Good amount of room, pretty view to wake up to. Dispersed camping so no services available.

Fantastic free dispersed camping sites on Lake Como road. Rustic camping with no other amenities. First come first serve site. The ones closer to the main road are better for tents due to the smooth ground..and the road and sites get rougher and rockier the further up the road you go. Still a beautiful place to camp for the night.

Great boondocking spot and access to Fourteeners! It can get windy here and I’ve woken up to free roaming cows rubbing up against my vehicle 🚗 🐮 Beautiful views all ‘round!

BLM camping at your leisure. You are in the high desert environment, so end of May is low 70s and very dry. Great views of the Blanca group. Very peaceful and normally windy.

Was just camping here a few nights ago with my husband and 3 dogs in our RV. We were the highest occupied campsite but there were quite a few occupied spots along the flat section of road. Lots of cacti, luckily we have fencing for our dogs we were able to set up in a cacti free zone. ***We were robbed while we were gone for 4 hours hiking and visiting the sand dunes. Our camper window was shattered... generator, hand gun, all our food, dogs food, and water was taken. So just a warning to those planning on leaving their site to explore the area. It is not safe unfortunately.***
